Frequent Questions / Troubleshooting
I am not getting push notifications.
Go to the More page and select Communication Settings and make sure your Communication Settings is set to Push Notifications. Then go to Settings on your device and scroll down to PrayerLincs and select Allow Notifications.
The Photo icon for posting pictures is not working.
On iPhones, you must have the Photos setting for the PrayerLincs app set to All Photos. Go to Settings on your iPhone, scroll down to PrayerLincs and select All Photos.
How do I delete a group?
Groups are automatically deleted when the last person in the group withdraws. Go to Withdraw from a Group on the More page to withdraw.
I posted an event to my calendar, and I do not see it on my cell phone.
Check to see the date for the event. Only future events are shown on a cell phone. Past and future events are shown on PCs and laptops. You might have inadvertently put a past date on the event.
How can I make the text size larger on iPhones?
Go to your phone Settings. Select Display & Brightness. Scroll to bottom of page and select Display Zoom. Change to Larger Text.

How does PrayerLincs Works?
PrayerLincs is divided into two sections: My Groups and My Prayers
You send and receive prayer requests to or from all your faith communities in My Groups.
You may then copy a request from My Groups to your private prayer list in My Prayers or
you may enter your private prayers in only your private prayer list.
We elevate your prayers by keeping them separate from messages within groups
My Groups keeps up with calendar events, birthdays and email addresses
Each group member has a personal profile that others in their group may view

Who can start a new group?
Anyone can start a new group.
Who can invite a person to join a group?
Group admins can invite a person to join a group.
Who may post or update (reply) a prayer request (message)?
All group members may post or reply to a prayer request or message.
Who can delete a prayer request or message?
The member who posts a prayer request or message and the group admins can delete them.
How do I copy a group prayer request to my private prayer list?
From the Action menu on the prayer record select Copy to Private Prayer List
Can I send a prayer request or message to a few members of a group?
No. All prayer requests and messages go to all members. You may text or call a person from the Action menu or their profile page. You may also access and copy members' email addresses from our email address book in the Groups section.
How do I assign a category to a prayer in my private prayer list?
From the Action menu select Edit/Assign Category and then change the category on the Edit page.
Can I mark a prayer request as answered?
Yes. From the Action menu you or your group admin may mark a group request you posted as answered. A green check mark will appear by the post. You may also move a prayer in your private prayer list to your Answered Prayer list.
Can I delete my information?
Yes. You can delete any of your prayer requests or messages and your profile information at any time. You may also withdraw from a group or request PrayerLincs to delete your account at any time.
Who can post an event to the calendar?
Group admins may post an event.
Who determines how many parts of my profile information shows to group members?
Your General and Contact information shows to all groups. Group admins select whether to display Background, Favorite Activities and Favorite Things to their groups that they are group leaders.

All group members have a member profile
Profiles are divided into five sections: General, Contact, Background, Favorite Activities and Favorite Things
General and Contact Information are displayed for all groups automatically
Background, Favorite Activities and Favorite Things may be added by the group admin
All members may edit their profile in the More section
Group admin may add sections in the Edit Group Profile of Group Admin Tools
Birthdays
View anyone in your groups that has a birthday this or next month
Email Address Books
View and easily copy & paste email addresses of group members (in total or individually) to your email provider
Calendars
All group member may view the group calendar
Group calendars are maintained by the group admin in the Create/Edit Group Calendar of Group Admin Tools

Group Admin Tools
Group Admins:
The person starting a group is the Group Admin
The Group Admin may be changed
New members can join the group only by invitation by the Group Admin
The Group Admin has overall responsibility for the group's members and content
The Group Admin can broadcast new prayer requests, invite new members, withdraw members, delete any members' prayer requests or messages if inappropriate and maintains group calendars and profiles.
Alternate Group Admins:
Each group has an Alternate Group Admin with all the rights of the group admin

Group Requests/Messages:
Broadcast New Requests Allows group admins to easily queue and post multiple requests shared within a group setting and maintain the integrity of who made the prayer request
Delete Group Requests Allows the group admin to delete any prayer request any member has posted to the group.
Member Actions:
Invite Group Members Allows the group admin to invite new members individually or in bulk
Member Invitation Status Allows the group admin to know whether invitations are pending, accepted or expired. Invitations are pending for up to 14 days with reminder emails sent to invitee every 3 days. If invitation expires after 14 days then the group leader may re-send invitation or delete it.
Withdraw Group Members Allows the group admin to remove any member from the group.
Former Group Members Allows the group admin to view former group members withdrawn with ability to re-instate as a member or delete from the listing.
Edit Group:
Edit Group Profile - Allows the group admin to:
1. Change group admins
2. Add Background Information, Favorite Activities or Favorite Things for viewing in Members group listing (default is off)
3. Display birthdays to members in Birthday section (default is off)
4. Display group titles in Members section (default is off)
5. Display group demographics in Group Profile section (default is off)
6. Display group description in Group Profile section (default is off)
Create/Edit Group Calendar - Allows the group admin to create or edit an event for their group.
Edit Members Titles - Allows the group admin to enter titles for group members. The group leader must also select On for group titles in Edit Group Profile for titles to display.

Your Communication Preferences:
Notifications
Change how you want to be notified when postings, updates or replies are made for prayers messages or calendar events: None, Push Notifications or Email. Default is push notifications if you have iPhone or android app and email if you do not have iPhone or android app.
Phone Number Display
Change how text or return call to be made to you from Action menu (default is On)
Change your phone number being displayed to other group members (default is On)
Promotions
Change if you do not want to receive email marketing promotions from PrayerLincs (default is On)
Change if you do not want to receive preference based advertising (does not include general advertising that PrayerLincs may provide all members on the PrayerLincs site). (default is On)
Weekly Reminders
Choose if you want to receive weekly email reminders
Change Your Password
Allows you to change your PrayerLincs password
Blocked Users
Lists members of your groups that you have blocked. You may block users at the bottom of their profile page. If blocked:
You will no longer see posts by this user
You will no longer receive notifications about this user's posts
The user will no longer see your posts
This user will no longer receive notification about your posts
This person will no longer appear as a member of any of your groups
You will not be able to join a group where this member is a group admin
This user will not be able to join a group where you are the group admin
You can unblock the user at any time in this section
My Prayers
Private Prayer List
Prayer requests remain on your private prayer list until deleted by you
Posts
Prayers may be posted to your Private Prayer List without sending them to any group or may be posted when shared with groups.
Filters
Prayers may be sorted by category
Prayers may be sorted alphabetical by whom for or by date
Actions
You may text or call person who originally posted request
You may update prayer requests
You may move any prayer request to Answered Prayers
You may edit prayer request
You may delete a prayer request
Answered Prayers
Prayers may be archived in Answered Prayers for future reference until deleted by you
